Red Lodge Mountain je typickým príkladom lyžovania v Montane! Ste tu vítaní ako rodina a nie je tu nič napäté ani prepychové. Čo vidíte, to aj dostanete a v Cole Creek sa nič nevyrovná snehovým kolám v prašane. Keď sneží, je to úžasné. Nikde nenájdete chladnejšie pivo ani lepšiu hudbu ako v Bierstube a nič neprekoná domácku atmosféru Red Lodge v meste.

Red Lodge, although known for poor snow sometimes, always had some great things going for it. Now though it is understaffed, poor snow, and failure to open Cole Creek and Palisades until later in season. Those things are tough hurdles for RLM to overcome but I deal with those. RLM used to be known as a low key, chill ski hill that had great staff, great ski town and above all, an affordable lift ticket with discounts for poor snow and limited terrain open. Red Lodge is failing with its online system of lift tickets that are outrageously priced depending on holidays and high use times. With the resurgence of some Wyoming Ski Hills and great skiing at other places in Montana they are on the verge of losing many customers. I will occasionally frequent Red Lodge as I have for many years but only a few times per year. In addition, I know that marijuana is viewed differently by many in society today but to have a lifty grabbing a quick hit on a joint while families and kids in line is wrong. I am also done with season passes. Too expensive. I know many people's response will be how cheap compared to other locations, but increases are very high. • Hard working staff and great ski town.
• Labor shortages, training areas for ski racers taking up large pieces of available terrain, Big Sky parents and kids, poor snow, increasing prices for lift tickets and season passes.

A completely different experience than the bigger resorts. The town is probably the most affordable ski town there is and the resort is just a quick drive up the mountain. Some years the best terrain isn't open until late season, but when it's good it's as good as skiing gets. Super friendly, great food and drinks, they even allow camping in the parking lot. It's nothing like Big Sky or the Colorado resorts, but I prefer Red Lodge in many ways.

Not great snowfall is incredibly offset by well managed snow making and grooming. Friendly people and the best buffalo chicken sandwich I've had.

Great staff and friendly people. Nothing pretentious here unles the kids and parents from Big Sky are there. Food quality in Bierstube has gone down a little and consistently raised prices and you still have to deal ski racers completing and practicing whenever they want taking up chunks of intermediate terrain. All of which I could handle if prices didn’t keep going up including single day passes over 80 dollars in March and season passes changed and higher priced.

Listen, this is a family ski area, notice I didn’t say resort! It’s not Vail or Aspen, Snowbird, or Big Sky! But that’s what I like about Red Lodge and also how people are able to afford taking their family’s and having a great time. Don’t get me wrong, I liked skiing at Aspen and Snowbird, with their 60 man tramway! It’s just a different experience and I love the townspeople at Red Lodge as well. Just normal folks, you probably won’t see the Kardashians there or Kanye and that suits me just fine. You can go to Jackson for that!

Excellent place to ski. I prefer boutique Western Ski resorts like Red Lodge, Monarch (Colorado), Bridger Bowl, and Snowdown with long vertical because of no crowds, no lines, friendly, Affordable, skiing without traffic, and no pomp and fashion show (just skiing). If you like the hip fashion and pick-up Scene - then go elsewhere.

Just got back from our 5th annual family trip to Red Lodge. We keep coming back because we love the skiing, love the prices and it is the closest mountain skiing from Minnesota. It is advertised as Montana skiing pure and simple. Nothing fancy at all. No lines, no attitudes and lots of common folks having fun skiing. The parking lot is filled with pickup trucks and family vans. The best skiing and fastest lifts are on the Cole Creek side of the mountain. My family loves this place!

Red Lodge is a true throwback classic-- great intermediate skiing and plenty of expert when snow is sufficient to open the drain and shales areas-- staff are wonderful friendly and helpful-- the coal creek high speed quad provides more vertical than most skiers have legs to enjoy- want old school and soul of skiing check out Red Lodge
